Great upgrade from basic,
I purchased this bike as an upgrade from my basic mountain bike that was purchased at Target. This rides so much smoother than my old mountain bike over paved surfaces. The only complaint I have about the bike is the Presta valves. I had never owned a bike with this type of valve and had to purchase one at a bike shop to inflate the tires. For the price, it would have been nice to have the adaptor included since it is relatively inexpensive. My husband pretty much put this together without reading the instructions (typical male) but he is pretty handy. This is the first bike I have purchased online without taking a bike for a test drive and I was a little hesitant, but so far I am very happy with my purchase.

|Nice riding, beautiful design and decent price,
The bike arrived partially assembled. I had to mount the handle bars, pedals, front wheel and connect the brakes. Latter was the most tricky part but not a problem at all – especially when reading the manual. The bike’s design speaks for itself: it’s pure, sporty, elegant. Features I especially like about the bike are the handy bar ends which provide a large area for resting the palms and thus give a feeling of safe handling and high comfort. The “sporty” seat might need some time to get used to but it is nothing compared to any road bike seat. The shifting mechanism is ok, the engagement of the gear with the levers mounted on the handle bars is easy although the movement of the chain could sometimes be smoother. A high plus is the weight of the bike. It’s fully aluminum i.e. corrosion safe and very light and besides having to move less mass during the ride, it can be carried easily to any appartment on the 4th floor.
All in all I am very happy with this buy. It has a nice aspect and provides smooth and fast riding, ideal for commuting to work or town with the comfort of a trekking bike. Like!

|I’m happy,
I am not a biker and really have no knowlege of “biking”. This is my first bike that cost more than $100, I was told by several biking enthusiasts that I really should have bought a higher end/better/more expensive bike. I just got this bike and from what I can tell it is going to suit my needs just fine. I will be riding up to the book store, coffee shop, occasionaly doing a Sunday afternoon ride, etc. For your refernce I am 5’4″ and have a 29″ inseam, the medium size (17″ frame) was the right fit for me. I chose to have a bike shop assemble the bike for me which cost $60. Something else for you to consider before buying. This bike does not have a kick stand, cargo rack, fenders, water bottle holder, or chain guard. If I could have purchased this bike already “tricked out” for a $100 or so more, I would have bought it in a second. I would rather have had all the extras on the bike to begin with.
In summary for the occasional rider, I think this bike is just fine.
